Molan are the market leader in the supply of polycarbonate sheets, primarily for the construction of conservatory roofs in the UK.

Wayne Lawson, Production Manager of Molan (UK) Ltd said, “One of the reasons we use Chancellor is that the Company has grown with it. When we started using Snip [Benchmark’s entry level package] in 1990, we had 10 or 11 staff with a turnover of about £600K. We now employ around 70 staff, with a turnover of £7.5m. Benchmark has allowed us to grow and given us more functionality as we’ve needed it.”

Wayne also says that our Sales Order Processing module is the best on the market.

He also likes our flexibility, and our range of different, affordable add-ons. Benchmark have recently written a link between their CAD package and the SOP module for Molan, in order to produce an automated delivery note.

Wayne said, “We would never have got Sage to show that level of flexibility and meet our needs. Wayne pointed out that they would never have stayed with Chancellor if it had not been easy to use, which allows them to concentrate on their business and also save money on training costs because it is so easy for new staff to learn.

They find the Support service excellent, with friendly staff that they build up a relationship with.

From a CRM perspective, Molan used to use ACT but found it inflexible and they could not convert their data to the latest version without paying a considerable amount of money. They moved over to Cream, which is interlinked with Chancellor. This allows them to carry out marketing based on real sales figures.
