Kevin Aherne, Managing Director started National Shower Spares in Peebles, Scotland after working for shower manufacturer Mira.

He later opened a second branch in Peebles and a third in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. He was running two systems using PC Anywhere to control the nominal and purchase ledgers. In 2003, he upgraded to the Windows version of Chancellor, using a hosting system based on Windows XP, which allowed him to run Chancellor as a single networked system over an ADSL line between Peebles and Cheltenham. We modified the system for him so that users in each location only had access to the stock at their own branch.
